New Realtors need only one thing!
Congratulations on your decision to choose a career in real estate! In the last 21 years in the mortgage field I have observed hundreds, if not thousands, of people get into the real estate sales, and I have also witnessed the subtle difference between those that obtain unbelievable success, and those that simply eek out a living.
Believe it or not, the difference between success and failure has LITTLE to do with SKILL set. Who you are, where you came from, who you know, your education level…all that will have a MINOR impact on your outcome! For example, I dropped out of high school, spent a few years in the army, and afterwards “fell into” the mortgage business. I knew no one. I had no help, no education, no role models, not even any experience buying a house. Worse, I hated numbers!
Yet two decades later, I have started three successful mortgage companies and have trained hundreds of loan officers. I am a regular contributor to local newscasts, and have even been interviewed on CNBC discussing California real estate trends and the mortgage market. Imagine that, a high school drop out on the largest financial news program in the world!!!!
But if skill set and background is not the key, what is? It’s so simple that most people overlook it… it is “only” the most powerful force in the world….your MIND set! Not JUST positive thinking, but positive ACTING! You can believe you will succeed, but if you never get off the couch it is not going to happen. You MUST develop a mindset that INSPIRES you to take action EVERY DAY that moves you towards your goals. Truthfully, you are only limited by what you BELIEVE are your limitations, and how you RESPOND to those beliefs.
As the area’s number one mortgage broker I am committed to partner with all new Realtors ready to meet the challenges of this business head on. It is never easy, but it is always possible. The secret is to align yourself with those people around you who understand your needs. We look forward to being your partner in success!!!
I wish you the best of success!
